ABOUT SIOBHAN HALL VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY

Siobhan and Belsie

"From a young age I have always had a passion for animals and over the years I realised I wanted to turn my passion into a career.  After leaving college I obtained a First Class BSc(Hons) in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation from the University of Greenwich.

During my time at the University of Greenwich I gained a strong interest in the use of Hydrotherapy for equine rehabilitation and as an exercise modality which lead me to completing my final year dissertation on the effect swimming has on horses heart and respiratory rates. Spending time in the Hydrotherapy centre allowed me to gain invaluable experience with the use of aqua treadmills and hydrotherapy spas and how to apply these to a variety of injury and disorders.

As part of my degree I completed several units evaluating complementary and alternative therapies and developed a strong passion for veterinary anatomy and biomechanics of sporting animals.

During this degree I also obtained a qualification in Kinesiology taping.

After completing my degree I moved to The University of Nottingham to complete a PGDip in Veterinary Physiotherapy graduating with Distinction. I am a fully insured and registered with the Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (MIRVAP) VP. In addition to this I am also a member of RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners) ensuring Gold Standard of clinical competence.

Following my physiotherapy degree I completed a Small Animal Hydrotherapy Qualification with K9HS passing all modules to become a fully qualified Hydrotherapist.

As a Veterinary Physiotherapist, I believe that it is extremely important to work as part of a team in conjunction with a range of specialists keeping your horse, dog, cat or farm animal working at their peak performance level. This includes maintaining good relationships, sharing knowledge and experience with trainers, owners, riders, farriers, saddlers, dentists and veterinary surgeons to optimise performance and wellbeing.

I am a hardworking, self-motivated, organised individual and I am very excited about what the future holds and extremely keen to continue to attend CPD events and courses to better my knowledge so I can provide the best service to my clients.

In my spare time you will either find me riding my own horse Hector, walking my German Shorthaired Pointer Belsie and Jack Russell Twiggy or playing hockey for my local team"
